Bahrain Wins 2031 Arab Games Bid

Seef District – Olympic Committee: 

The Kingdom of Bahrain has successfully won the bid to host the 17th Arab Games in 2031, and Jordan has been awarded the hosting rights for the 18th Arab Games in 2035. The decision was made during the 22nd General Assembly meeting of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, held in Jordan on Thursday, 21 November 2024.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, President of the Union of Arab Olympic Committees, presided over the General Assembly meeting.

The Olympic Committee was represented by Mrs Fajer Jassim, Board Member and Director of Arab and International Relations and of the Olympic Solidarity department, and Mr Ahmed Abdul Ghaffar, Executive Director of Operations.

The meeting reviewed a report on the 15th Arab Games, which took place in Algeria in 2023, and a report on the Arab Club Games for Women, which were held in Sharjah from February 2 to 12, 2024.

The meeting approved the Association's 2023 Annual Report, ratified the financial statements and independent auditor's report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2023, and contracted Pure Sports Company to develop the association's strategy.
