As part of Bahrain's preparations for the upcoming International School Games, the Volunteers and Services Support Committee held a training workshop titled "Psychological Preparation for Organizing International Sports Championships" on Sunday evening. Dr Nabil Taha presented the event, which is scheduled for October under the high royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The workshop attracted strong participation from volunteers and centred on equipping organising teams with essential psychological tools to manage challenges effectively during major events. Dr Taha's presentation covered managing psychological pressures, building self-confidence, and enhancing decision-making capabilities under stress.

Dr Taha stated, "Workshops like these are crucial for preparing volunteers to handle the mental challenges of organising international events. The participants showed remarkable commitment, which reflects their readiness for the tournament."

Participants expressed their gratitude for the training, noting that this series of workshops has greatly enhanced their organisational skills and readiness to meet the event's demands.

This training is part of Bahrain’s broader preparations to host the largest school games in history. More than 5,000 students from 80 countries will compete across 25 sports. Held over 10 days in October 2024, the games will take place in 14 venues across the Kingdom, reflecting Bahrain's commitment to hosting international events of the highest standards.
