He highlighted that the Bahraini sports sector is progressing in line with the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Kano further praised the considerable efforts of His Highness Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, which have led to many notable achievements for Bahraini sports, particularly in combat disciplines.
Kano confirmed that the Bahrain Judo team is ready to participate in the International School Games, with many goals set for the event. “The team has held several training camps, and as a federation, we have made sure to meet all their needs. We are confident in our ability to achieve our goals, including discovering and refining talents to represent the national teams in future international events,” he said.
He further noted the importance of this age group, saying, "This category is extremely significant as it forms the foundation for Bahraini sports across various disciplines. When you start building from the grassroots, you will reap successful results. We aim to achieve our goals in this tournament by nurturing and supporting talent."
