Hessa bint Khalid Attends Gulf Advisory Committee Meeting on Women’s Sports

Her Excellency Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Board Member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Head of the Gender Equal Opportunities Committee in the Sports Field, participated in the third meeting of the Gulf Advisory Committee for Women’s Sports on Wednesday, 13 November 2024, in Abu Dhabi. The session was chaired by Ms Lulwa Al Marri, Head of the Gulf Advisory Committee for Women’s Sports.


The agenda covered key topics, including a review of the Women’s Sports Committee’s approved recommendations from the 98th Executive Office meeting held on 28 May 2024 in Qatar. The committee also reviewed the outcomes of the Hackathon programme held in Oman from 1-4 March 2024 and discussed recent progress on the electronic platform for Gulf women’s sports.


Further discussions included the honours list for distinguished leadership and sports figures, the 2025 work plan for the Sports Advisory Committee, and the scheduling of the next meeting. Additional matters were also addressed, with all attendees committed to advancing initiatives for Gulf women’s sports.
