Over 70 Countries, representing a diverse array of cultures and sporting traditions, are set to Participate in the International School Sports Games “Bahrain 2024”
The Kingdom of Bahrain is gearing up to host the 17th edition of the International School Sports Games “Bahrain 2024” under the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Over 70 countries will compete, with approximately 5,348 athletes, coaches, and referees participating across 26 diverse sports.
Bahrain will proudly lead the participants with a delegation of 463 athletes, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting school sports. Other notable delegations include Algeria, with 102 athletes; Azerbaijan, with 244; and Bangladesh, contributing 90 athletes. Argentina will be represented by 11 athletes, Armenia by 56, Austria by 5, and Belgium will send two delegations: the French-speaking team with 10 participants and the Flemish team with 15. Benin, showcasing its ambitions, will send 73 athletes.
The competition's sports include archery, athletics, Paralympic sports, badminton, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, boxing, chess, gymnastics, handball, judo, karate, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, and wrestling. Athletes will vie for gold medals with high hopes of raising their national flags on the podium.
Countries such as France, the United States, and China are eager to assert their positions in global sports by securing top results. With their unwavering determination and fierce competitive spirit, the athletes are ready to compete, striving to return home with the most medals.
