Bahrain's Youth Volleyball Team Gears Up for Gulf Games with Pre-Departure Motivation from Janahi

As the Bahraini youth volleyball team finalizes its preparations for the upcoming Gulf Youth Games, Mr. Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, a Board Member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and head of Bahrain's delegation, paid a special visit to the team on Friday, March 29, 2024. The visit, taking place just before the team's departure to a training camp in Cairo, Egypt, aimed to bolster the athletes' spirits and readiness for the competition, which is set to unfold from April 16 to May 2 in the United Arab Emirates.

 

The training session at the Issa bin Rashid Hall in Khalifa Sports City, under the watchful eyes of Mr. Janahi and Mrs. Fajr Jassim Hassan, Director of the delegation, showcased the team's rigorous preparation. The session was also attended by prominent figures including Habib Mohammed, Vice President of the Federation, and Board members Salah Janahi, Abdul-Rida Ashouri, and Sadiq Al-Zimour.

 

During his visit, Mr. Janahi closely observed the team's training, engaging with both the players and the coaching staff. He emphasized the importance of dedication and honor in their preparation, aiming for peak technical and physical condition. Mr. Janahi's encouragement was backed by the Bahrain Olympic Committee's support, led by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, as part of the "Making Champions Program." This initiative reflects His Highness’s commitment to nurturing teams with strong competitive prospects.

 

Reaffirming the Olympic Committee's support, Mr. Janahi assured that all necessary resources would be provided to enhance the team's performance, with the ultimate goal of securing the championship title.

 

The Cairo training camp delegation includes key figures such as Abdel-Rida Ashouri, head of the delegation and a Board member, team director Abdallah Al-Mahrous, and the technical team headed by Coach Saber Abdel-Wahed, with support from assistant coach Muhammad Salman Ibrahim, therapist Ghufran Al-Dheeb, and physical trainer Muhammad Youssef Al-Ashouri.

 

The 14-player roster is poised for success, featuring talents like Hassan Ali Al-Warqa, Muhammad Reda Ali, and Ali Hussein Issa, among others, ready to make their mark in the Gulf Youth Games and proudly represent Bahrain on the international stage.
