Bahrain Baby Olympics Gains Prestigious Backing

 

Seef – Bahrain Olympic Committee: The Bahrain Olympic Committee has announced partnerships with STC, Al Rashed Group, and Riyara for the sponsorship of the fourth Bahrain Junior Olympics. This significant event, patronised by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and Chairman of the Olympic Committee, is scheduled for 5-8 May.

The sponsorship agreements were signed at the Olympic Committee headquarters in the presence of Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Olympic Committee; Shaikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa, Vice President for Government Affairs at STC; Sandeep Narain, Regional President of Al Rashed Group; and Jay Bhagawti, CEO of Riyara.

Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji expressed his pride in STC's commitment, a leading telecommunications firm in Bahrain, to the Junior Olympics, underscoring it as a pivotal national sports gathering for young children across the kingdom. He lauded STC’s continuous backing as integral to the sporting community, highlighting the pivotal role the sponsorship plays in the event's success.

He also conveyed his gratitude towards Al Rashed Group for their ongoing partnership, now in its fourth year, which he described as crucial for the Junior Olympics, and acknowledged Riyara's sponsorship, noting its significance in ensuring the event's achievements.

Shaikh Ziyad bin Faisal Al Khalifa shared his enthusiasm about supporting the Junior Olympics, reflecting STC’s commitment to nurturing the sporting potential of Bahrain's youth. He emphasized the initiative as part of STC's corporate social responsibility in the Kingdom, aligning with Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s vision to foster collaboration between the private sector and sporting organizations to enhance Bahraini sports.

Sandeep Narain also expressed his satisfaction with Al Rashed Group’s continued support for the Junior Olympics, highlighting it as a key event for nurturing the athletic skills of young boys and girls and underscoring the group's commitment to its social and national responsibilities towards youth and sports development.

Jay Bhagawti of Riyara remarked on the company’s pride in supporting the Bahrain Junior Olympics, viewing the sponsorship as a testament to the firm's commitment to the sports sector and to fostering a generation equipped with the skills to excel.
