The President of the Bahrain Taekwondo Federation, Mr. Abdullah Isa Aldoy, has highlighted the importance of the upcoming International School Sports Games, set to take place in Bahrain in October. He noted that this event aligns with the ongoing support for sports in the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the constant backing of the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Aldoy emphasised the crucial role of support from His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Additionally, the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the General Sports Authority and Chairman of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, have placed Bahraini sports, particularly combat sports, on the global map with continuous achievements in recent years.
He also announced that Bahrain’s school taekwondo team is fully prepared for this important event, which aligns with the Federation’s ambitions to uncover and develop emerging talents. He described the event as a gateway to discovering and refining young talents to nurture them to represent national teams in future competitions.
“The tournament is a true gateway for discovering young talents and honing their skills for continued development, enabling them to represent the national teams in future competitions,” Aldoy stated.
He further noted that the Federation has laid out a comprehensive plan for the team’s preparation, including previous training camps and matches, to achieve top positions. He wished the athletes the best of luck and success.
