Seef District – Olympic Committee: His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, extended heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the national volleyball team’s victory at the 23rd Arab Volleyball Championship. Bahrain secured the title after a 3-1 triumph over Qatar in the final match on Sunday, November 10, 2024.
His Highness also congratulated Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, and Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, recognising their ongoing support for Bahraini sports.
Commending the Bahrain Volleyball Association, led by His Excellency Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Shaikh Isa bin Ali praised the players' exceptional performance, high fighting spirit, and the dedicated efforts of the technical and administrative teams. He also acknowledged the significant public support and media coverage that fueled the team’s success.
Shaikh Isa bin Ali emphasised that this victory is a result of the wise leadership's continuous support and encouragement of Bahraini athletes to achieve milestones. He further acknowledged the relentless efforts of the Bahrain Volleyball Association in elevating Bahrain’s standing in regional and international sports and wished the team continued success in future competitions.
