His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, witnessed the final match of the 34th edition of the Dubai International Basketball Championship. The thrilling encounter at Al Nasr Club Hall saw the Lebanese Beirut Club emerge victorious over the Tunisian national team with a score of 80-72.
The championship final was attended by several distinguished figures, including Major General Ismail Al Qarqawi, President of the UAE and Arab Basketball Federations; His Excellency Mr Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council; Mr Hagop Khajirian, Executive Director of the Asian Basketball Federation; Mr Alaa Madara, President of the Bahrain Basketball Federation; along with a number of heads of Gulf and Arab basketball federations.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa was honoured to participate in the coronation ceremony, presenting the championship trophy to the victorious Lebanese Beirut Club. After the event, Major General Ismail Al Qarqawi, President of the UAE Basketball Federation, presented a commemorative shield to His Highness in recognition of his appointment as Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia.
In his closing remarks, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa commended the outstanding organisation of the tournament and its success and extended his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity to the UAE Basketball Federation.
