Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Welcomes Belarusian Olympic Delegation to Bahrain

 

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, warmly received the President of the Belarusian Olympic Committee, Mr. Viktor Lukashenko, along with Secretary General Ms. Kseniya Sankovich and their accompanying delegation. The reception took place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the Ceremonial Hall of Bahrain International Airport, witnessed by His Excellency Mr. Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

During the meeting, Shaikh Isa emphasized the significance of fortifying bilateral relations between the Bahrain and Belarus Olympic Committees. He discussed avenues for cooperation and the exchange of expertise across various sports disciplines, aiming to bolster and evolve sports activities in both nations. Shaikh Isa remarked on the notable advancement and prosperity of Belarusian sports, expressing his wishes for the delegation's enjoyable stay in their "second country," the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Mr. Viktor Lukashenko, in response, extended his gratitude for the gracious welcome and commended the strides made by Bahrain in sports development. He reaffirmed the Belarusian Committee's commitment to enhancing collaborative efforts, which he said would mutually benefit sporting achievements in both countries. Mr. Lukashenko stressed the importance of ongoing communication and coordination between the two committees to further their shared objectives and elevate the profile of sports through joint initiatives and experience sharing.
