Dr Fawaz Al Sherooqi, Head of the Protocol Committee for the International School Games, confirmed that the committee had finalised all preparations to receive the delegations participating in the tournament, scheduled to occur in Bahrain from [start date] to [end date]. This coordination between the committee and relevant authorities ensures that all procedures for welcoming delegations at Bahrain International Airport are in place, including arrangements for their smooth entry into the Kingdom and the transportation of their sports equipment to their residences.
Al Sherooqi explained that committee members were divided into three shifts to ensure a 24-hour reception process aligned with delegation arrival times. A group of volunteers who have undergone specialised protocol training will assist with facilitating the delegations' reception and will be equipped with the necessary instructions to ensure a smooth process.
Additionally, the committee has trained its members and volunteers to handle the reception of VIPs attending the opening and closing ceremonies and the scientific forum. Their responsibilities include directing guests to their designated seating in accordance with approved protocols coordinated with relevant authorities.
The tournament will feature participation from 80 school sports federations representing 70 countries and will focus on promoting sportsmanship and cultural exchange among participants. All sports venues across different regions have been prepared to host the competitions.
In addition, the tournament programme includes a range of cultural and educational events designed to highlight Bahraini heritage and promote interaction between the participating youth. Workshops and lectures will raise awareness of the importance of sport in fostering human values.
These efforts underscore Bahrain's commitment to providing an exceptional experience for participants and enhancing its reputation as a leading destination for international events. The successful completion of these preparations is expected to impact the young athletes worldwide who will be attending positively.
