Seef District - The Olympic Committee:

Under the esteemed patronage of Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chairperson of the Committee for Equal Opportunities between Genders in the Sports Field, the "I am Talented" program initiated its implementation phase. The first step involved qualifying administrative and technical staff through two dedicated workshops.

The workshops were attended by Mr Salama Mohammed Atiq, Director of the "I am Talented" project, along with 14 head coaches, 14 assistant coaches, and 15 administrative staff from the participating sports.

Dr Jassim Haji from the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology delivered the first workshop, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and its applications in sports. The second workshop, led by Dr Nabeel Taha, President of the Olympic Academy, explored effective methods for identifying and nurturing young athletic talent.

The "I am Talented" program is set to commence on Friday, February 22nd, with over 200 young male and female athletes participating.

This initiative aims to identify and nurture exceptional talent in seven sports including 4 team games (football, basketball, volleyball, handball) and 3 individual games (fencing, sailing, karate). By providing comprehensive technical and physical training, the program seeks to develop athletes aged 6 to 14 years old. Through ongoing collaboration with federations and clubs, the goal is to cultivate future champions who will proudly represent the nation on the international stage.
