Janahi Takes the Lead: Cycling and Triathlon Teams Gear Up for Gulf Games Glory

Seef District - Bahrain Olympic Committee:

In an inspiring display of leadership and support, Mr. Ali Abdulaziz Janahi, a key figure on the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the head of Bahrain's delegation to the inaugural Gulf Youth Games, recently emphasized the nation's aspirations for a distinguished performance. This ambition aligns with the current sporting renaissance unfolding in Bahrain under the wise stewardship of His Majesty the King.

During his motivational visit to the training camps of the cycling and triathlon teams, Janahi not only reviewed their preparations but also actively participated in a training session. This gesture underscored his commitment to boosting the athletes' spirits ahead of their participation in the Gulf Youth Games, scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from April 16 to May 2. The visit was attended by members of the administrative and media delegations, as well as representatives and staff from the cycling and triathlon federations.

By joining the athletes in their training, Janahi sought to directly encourage and motivate them, highlighting the importance of their contribution to Bahrain's sporting legacy. Following the session, he engaged with the athletes to gauge their readiness and preparations for the upcoming tournament. He called on them to put forth their utmost effort and dedication, aiming to elevate Bahrain's flag on this prestigious platform.

Janahi's visit and words of encouragement come at a time when the sports of cycling and triathlon are receiving significant attention and support from high-ranking officials, including His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa. This support reflects a broader commitment to nurturing athletic talent and achieving excellence in international competitions.

Reiterating the Bahrain Olympic Committee's full support for the athletes, Janahi expressed confidence in the teams' abilities to secure notable achievements and contribute to the nation's proud sporting heritage at the Gulf Youth Games.
