Jamal: Wrestling team intensifies preparations for the International School Games

The Bahraini school wrestling team is continuing its intensive preparations for the International School Games (Bahrain 2024), which will take place from October 23 to 31. The team focuses on improving physical fitness, enhancing technical skills, and offering psychological support to ensure the players deliver a distinguished performance in the tournament. The technical staff supervises the team through daily training sessions, following a programme designed to raise readiness and preparation for the competition.

Eight players are set to participate in the wrestling events, representing the Bahraini school team. Kamal Jamal, speaking on the team’s preparations, described the process as ideal, saying, "The team has achieved a high level of readiness through the daily training sessions that the players have committed to since the beginning. This reflects the significant effort by both the technical staff and the players, aiming for full readiness ahead of the tournament’s launch."

Jamal further emphasised that the team’s participation is key for discovering young talents, stating: "This participation has great goals, particularly as it targets the emerging category of players. This prepares them to represent the Kingdom in future forums and allows them to interact with international players in a tournament that will see participation from various countries worldwide."

As for the team's ambitions, Jamal remarked: "Our aspirations are high for achieving positive results after the excellent preparation the players have undertaken. We aim to compete for medals in this prestigious tournament and proudly raise Bahrain's name in this major international event."
