His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, welcomed Mr Alejandro Blanco Bravo, President of the Spanish Olympic Committee, to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Mr Blanco Bravo is visiting the Kingdom to attend the World Weightlifting Championships, which will be held from December 4 to 15.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Mr Faris Mustafa Al Kooheji, Secretary General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and His Excellency Mr Mohammed Hasan Al Nusuf, Advisor to His Highness the President of the Olympic Committee.

During the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa extended a warm welcome to the President of the Spanish Olympic Committee. He conveyed the greetings of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Olympic Committee.

His Highness commended the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Spain, particularly in the field of sports. He acknowledged Spain's leading position in sports development and emphasised the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the Bahrain Olympic Committee and the Spanish Olympic Committee to benefit both nations.

To conclude the meeting, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa presented a commemorative gift to the President of the Spanish Olympic Committee, wishing him a pleasant stay in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
