In the presence of Her Excellency Shaikha Dr Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, a member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Head of the Equal Opportunities Committee, a celebration was held yesterday, at the Sofitel Zallaq Hotel to mark International Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The event also welcomed Ms Fajr Jassim, a fellow Board member.
During the celebration, Shaikha Dr Hessa delivered a heartfelt speech expressing her appreciation to the event's organizers. She noted that the gathering served dual purposes: fostering stronger relationships between Bahrain Olympic Committee employees and the Equal Opportunities Committee while promoting breast cancer awareness. Dr Hessa emphasised the importance of early detection, advocating for women's health and well-being.
In an effort to break from routine, the committee chose to host an interactive session, including a flower arrangement workshop and other activities, as opposed to a traditional lecture. The aim was to engage attendees in a creative and enjoyable experience while reinforcing the significance of health awareness. Shaikha Dr Hessa extended her well wishes to all female employees, wishing them continued health and success.
