BBK Becomes Official Sponsor of the Challenge Padel Championship in Bahrain in Partnership with World Padel Academy

Manama, Bahrain—BBK has announced its partnership with the World Padel Academy (WPA) as the official sponsor of the highly anticipated BBK Padel Challenge Championship and World Padel Academy. The event will be held under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

The championship will take place from 29 January to 2 February 2025 at the World Padel Academy courts in Seef District. It will bring together some of the finest padel players from Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf. This prestigious tournament reaffirms Bahrain’s growing reputation as a premier sporting hub for this rapidly expanding sport.

As part of this landmark collaboration, the tournament will officially be named the BBK Padel Challenge Championship & World Padel Academy, reinforcing BBK’s commitment to supporting sports, youth initiatives, and community engagement in alignment with the Kingdom’s vision to promote athletic excellence.

On this occasion, Mr. Yasser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive of BBK, expressed his pride in the partnership, stating: "BBK is honoured to contribute to advancing the sports sector in Bahrain. Our support for the Challenge Padel Championship reflects our dedication to fostering youth and sports initiatives while reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional sports industry leader. The championship will feature over 300 professional players competing across multiple categories:

  • Men’s Divisions: Category 1 (A), Category 2 (B), Category 3 (C), Category 4 (D).
  • Women’s Divisions: Category 1 (A), Category 2 (B).

The tournament will conclude on Sunday, February 2, 2025, with the final matches and an awards ceremony.
