Bahrain Shines in Leadership Role at Prestigious Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Preparatory Meeting

Seef District, Bahrain - The Bahrain Olympic Committee Announces Participation in Preparatory Meeting for the Sixth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games

 

The Bahrain Olympic Committee has actively participated in the preparatory meeting for delegation directors ahead of the Sixth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games. This crucial gathering, slated for November in Chonburi, Thailand, saw the participation of esteemed officials from the Olympic Council of Asia, the Thai Olympic Committee, and the organizing committee of the tournament.

Representing Bahrain at this pivotal meeting, which took place on March 4th and 5th, were His Excellency Mr. Reda Munfardi, President of the Bahrain Jiu-Jitsu Federation and Member of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, alongside Ms. Fajer Jassim, a Board Member of the Olympic Committee and Director of the Department of International and Arab Relations.

The agenda for the meeting included comprehensive field visits to various competition venues that will host a wide array of combat sports and other disciplines such as archery, futsal, climbing, cycling, baseball, and athletics among others.

Additionally, the meeting featured detailed presentations on several critical aspects including the opening and closing ceremonies, competition and training facilities, transportation, catering, logistics, ticketing, customs services, insurance, anti-doping measures, security, volunteer management, ceremonial protocols, and media services. It also provided a platform for National Olympic Committees' representatives to seek clarifications on various operational queries.

The Sixth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, scheduled from November 21 to 30, 2024, promises an extensive lineup of 36 sports competitions along with two demonstration sports, showcasing the region's rich sporting talent and cultural diversity.
