Bahrain Olympic Committee Spotlights Physical Trainer Program with Global Expertise.

 

On Thursday, 9 January 2024, His Excellency Mr. Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended the closing ceremony of the Sports Management Guide Course. The course, organised by the Olympic Academy of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, ran from 4 to 9 January 2024 and welcomed the participation of 22 trainees.

 

Also present at the ceremony were Mr. Ahmed Abdulghaffar, Chief Operating Officer; Dr Nabil Taha, Director of the Olympic Academy; and several distinguished instructors who contributed to the program.

 

The course provided an engaging platform for participants, highlighting modern approaches to sports management, the history of the Olympic movement, and the significance of the Olympic Games, alongside other related topics. This initiative reflects the Olympic Academy’s commitment to fostering regional sports collaboration and enhancing the expertise of national professionals in the field.

 

A highly experienced group of sports specialists delivered the sessions, including Dr Nabil Taha, Mahmood Al-Shaikh, Latifa Bouheji, Khalil Qaheri, Ali Al-Tajer, Maryam Mardana, Mahmoud Al-Mukhtar, and Ahmed Al-Bahdahi. 

 

During the ceremony, Mr Al-Kooheji honoured the lecturers and participants, commending their dedication to advancing their knowledge in sports management and expressing his best wishes for their continued success in their respective careers. 

 

In addition, His Excellency attended the Physical Trainer Diploma Program, organised in collaboration with the University of Poitiers in France, under the theme Sports Injuries and How to Overcome Them. This program, which included 35 participants from various team sports, provided in-depth insights into managing and preventing sports injuries.

 

The sessions, led by Dr Vinet Martin and Professor Alain De Lorme, focused on identifying common sports injuries, preventive strategies, and the latest techniques in treatment and rehabilitation. Participants actively engaged in discussions, underscoring their commitment to enhancing their expertise in managing injuries and improving athletic performance while minimising risks.
