Adnan Ehsan Clinches Gold in Men's Singles, Badminton Team Honored as Arab Champions

Returning triumphant from the Arab Youth and General Championship hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain's badminton team received a warm reception from the Bahrain Olympic Committee. The athletes, who secured an impressive haul of three medals, including a gold and two bronze, were welcomed by Maden Al Wanas, Director of the Technical Affairs and Projects Department, and Khaled Mohammed, Public Relations Specialist.

 

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, the champions were greeted with flowers at Bahrain International Airport, a gesture symbolizing appreciation for their remarkable Arab achievements.

 

Adnan Ehsan stood atop the podium, securing first place and a gold medal in the men's singles competition, showcasing his prowess on the badminton court. Additionally, Jaafar Ibrahim and Adnan Ehsan achieved a commendable third place, earning a bronze medal in the men's doubles competition. In the youth doubles competition (under 19 years old), Ibrahim Hassan and Nasser Al Nakas secured another third place, adding another bronze medal to Bahrain's tally.
