Majdi Mirza, Chairman of the Registration and Secretariat Committee for the International School Sports Games (Bahrain 2024), emphasized the committee's ongoing communication with the International School Sports Federation (ISF). A series of daily online meetings have been conducted to ensure the final preparations related to registration and the issuance of identification cards for participants are progressing smoothly.
Mirza stated: "Undoubtedly, hosting the International School Sports Games in Bahrain is a major event that demands tremendous effort. It’s not an easy task, but we are proud to welcome more than 5,500 participants representing 80 school sports federations from 70 countries."
He added: "The committee is in constant daily contact with ISF, holding online meetings with the Event Director and the Registration Director to monitor registration processes, collect names, passports, and determine the number of rooms required."
Mirza also pointed out that 5,500 participants have already been registered, and efforts are ongoing to issue entry visas for them. He expressed gratitude for the full cooperation of all relevant government authorities in facilitating the visa issuance process, contributing to the seamless organization of the event.
He further explained that 4,250 visa applications have been submitted to date, with additional applications continuing to arrive. The committee is currently preparing participant identification cards (Accreditation), with the designs finalized and printing set to begin next week.
"We will also be setting up the accreditation center during the event to allow countries to collect identification cards smoothly. We are preparing for the issuance of emergency cards for participants, and we are excited about hosting this event and look forward to its success."
Mirza emphasized the committee's continuous coordination with other committees, providing them with the latest updates to ensure a unified and effective team effort in preparing for all aspects of the event.
