Swimming team members Saud Ghali and Amani Al-Obaidli have expressed their immense pride and honour in being chosen to carry the Kingdom's flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, marking a significant milestone in their athletic careers.
Saud Ghali said, "I am grateful to the Bahrain Olympic Committee for selecting me to carry the Kingdom's flag at this global sporting event. It is a beautiful moment I will never forget, especially during such a spectacular opening ceremony with a large audience and extensive media coverage."
He added, "I am proud of this esteemed responsibility, which motivates me to work even harder to improve my performance and represent Bahrain with distinction in my upcoming sports career. I wish all national teams success in the Olympics."
