The Bahrain Olympic Committee recently took part in the 27th General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), held in Portugal with the presence of International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach.
Representing Bahrain were Secretary-General of the Olympic Committee, His Excellency Mr. Faris Mustafa Al-Kooheji, and Board Members Ishaq Ibrahim Ishaq and Fajar Jassim.
Key items on the agenda included the approval of minutes from the 26th General Assembly held in Seoul in 2022, the ANOC President’s report, updates from working committees, and the International Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) report. Attendees also reviewed progress reports on the Paris 2024 Olympics, the Milan 2026 Winter Olympics, the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympics, and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, along with a report from the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). The sessions covered critical issues and developments within the Olympic movement.
