?Bahrain’s national junior volleyball team will head for Poland to conduct a week-long training before competing at two major international championships.
The nationals will first take part in the 14th GCC Championships, which Bahrain host from September 18 to 27. They then gear up for another stern challenge the following month when they host the Asian Championship from October 17 to 25.
Meanwhile, Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar visited the team’s most recent training as he met the coaching staff and players.
During his visit, Bahrain Volleyball Association general secretary Feras Al Halwachi informed Askar on the training programme progress for the team, being run by national coaches and former national team skipper Reda Ali and his assistant Fuad Abdulwahed.
On his part, Askar conveyed the greetings of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and his best wishes  to the team in these two coming championships.
Askar also urged the team to step up their preparations as dates for both events draw near, and called to maintain high discipline in order to reach the highest technical and physical readiness, as he expressed confidence in the players ability to achieve the aspired results.
