Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Abdulrahman Askar gave a thumb up for the committee’s latest innovation ‘Transactions System’ launched recently.
This initiative was as per directives of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and BOC President, to scrap paper transactions and replace them by electronic ones.
It’s part of the committee’s plan to implement a ‘Green Policy’ and rely on electronic correspondences instead of paper transactions, being carried out by BOC’s Information Technology Department’s systems analyst Zainab Al Mosawi and engineer Arif Imteyaz.
Askar praised the efforts of the IT Department and its representatives in this all-new system, which delivers an increased efficiency of work and reduce the use of paperwork, work procedures programming and federation needs.
“The transactions system will have a quantum leap in delivering quality services for the sports federations that are linked with us, as well as helping authorized personnel to track transactions through requests status, and providing comprehensive reports,” said Askar.
Askar noted that the system will also reduce the use of paper and save time and effort, noting the importance of all the federations to be aware of these steps to achieve the requested commands.
