?Youth Affairs Committee chairwoman at the Shura Council and president of the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation Sawsan Taqawi commended the programme “Estijabah” (Response), a programme designed to produce a new vigour in the sports sector of Bahrain.
The programme was launched by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee recently.
“Estijabah” came under Decree 1 for the year 2018 to form a Committee for coordination, implementation and follow-up, that is specialised in preparing periodic reports and recommendations to develop and to find required solutions to achieve the Council’s ambitions. 
It aims to create a new march for Bahraini sports as it coincides with the vision of the wise leadership for developing Kingdom’s sports sector and exploiting its great resources to advance the youth of Bahrain.
Taqawi said the programme represents an initiative to implement a key part of Bahrain’s Reform Programme, which is spearheaded by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the vision of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.
She extended her appreciation for the efforts of Shaikh Nasser, who confirmed that the launch of’ Response’ also aims to organise and better manage the government budgets.
Taqawi added that the contributions of Shaikh Nasser paid off recently by signing a four-theme agreements to attract international youth institutions, the unveiling of University Sports Federation, Young President Organization, a sports scholarship agreement, and the pursuit of sports professionalism.
