?GCC Training and Leadership Committee chairman Sultan bin Mohammed Suwailem of Saudi Arabia praised the success achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in hosting the 24th GCC Training and Leadership Committee conference recently.
The three-day conference, held over three days, came up with a number of decisions which are in line with the visions of the leaderships in the GCC.
In a statement received by Bahrain Olympic Committee general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, Suwailem expressed thanks and appreciation on behalf of the GCC Training and Leadership Committee for the warm hospitality and generosity of Bahrain.
Among the programmes approved for 2015 are two seminars in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in April, in addition to a training and qualifying course scheduled to take place in Oman in August.
Other events include a teamwork management course which will be held in Qatar in October, while Bahrain is hosting a ‘positive psychology’ course in December.   
Some of the subjects discussed included a presentation of second edition of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamada Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sport, and was presented by award general coordinator Asama Al Kaabi.
The committee consists of representatives from across the GCC, namely Mahmood Abul and Musaad Al Qattan of Kuwait, Abdulla Al Shamsi of the UAE, Shafiq Al Hashomi of Oman, Abdulrahman Al Hajri of Qatar, Nabeel Taha and Ali Qamber of Bahrain and secretary Farraj Al Farraj.
The GCC Training and Leadership Committee is one of the joint action committees at the GCC General Secretariat.
It aims to prepare and qualify and provide training programmes to develop the performance of the leaders in the gulf region in the fields of youth and sports.
