?The Sports Training and Development Section, which is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, is organizing an Event Management Programme course starting on Sunday (May 11) at the section’s premises at Manama Club in Juffair.
Organised in cooperation with the World Academy of Sport, the course aims to provide suitably qualified managers with the latest tools and standardized operating procedures required to successfully and sustainably successfully bid for an deliver sporting events in Bahrain.
Invitations were already sent to several representatives of general and private organisations in the kingdom, including the Supreme Council for Y Youth and Sports, the Supreme Council for Woman, Bahrain’s five governments, the Education Ministry, Information Ministry, Bahrain Defence Force, Interior Ministry, and several other events organising-related establishments.
Sports Training and Development Section head Nabeel Taha said Event Management Programme course is one of the most significant management courses organised by the serctyion as part of its annual plan, with so many sports organisations needing to learn the sports events management skills.
Taha said a team of experts from Bahrain and the World Academy of Sport will be conducting the course, noting that almost every organization seeks to qualify a group of its staff in the field of events management, and therefore the section decided to choose this programme to fulfill these requirements.
Taha said that the Sports Training and Development Section selects its annual programmes carefully, and takes into account the training needs of the various institutions and sports bodies that will help them do their roles to the fullest.
He extended his appreciation for the support offered by acting general secretary of the Bahrain Olympic Committee Abdulrahman Askar, who always cooperates with various institutions and local bodies to take advantage of the courses organised by the section which contribute to produce a group of professional administrators.
