?Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President asserted the main objective of the annual Bahrain Sports Day to become a daily lifestyle for everyone.
This statement was announced as Bahrain gets prepared to bring the second edition of the National Sports Day, which is due to take place on February 13 with a variety of sports and entertaining activities to cover all of the nation.
Shaikh Nasser extended his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa for dedicating half of the workday on Tuesday for sports activities in the governmental ministries and directorates, which has motivated all segments of the society to exercise, and promotes sport to make it a daily lifestyle for all age groups.
Shaikh Nasser pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain does not consider sport as a physical activity or leisure activities, but affirmed that sport has become a daily lifestyle within the Bahraini society and is an ideal way to create a better future for everyone.
The Supreme Council chairman also revealed that the second edition of the National Sports Day will witness several events to be organized by the Higher Organising Committee in a different way to achieve the desired objectives.
He urged all citizens and residents alike to exercise regularly and efficiently, and hoped that everyone would benefit from this national event and unique opportunity to exercise all kind of sports they wish.
Shaikh Nasser also called on all ministries and institutions of the public sector, as well as private institutions and companies, to interact with the objectives of the sports day by bringing a number of sporting events that are in line with the spirit of this important occasion.
