?A group of sports representatives recently completed a sports management course, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s (BOC) Bahrain Olympic Academy at its premises in Juffair.
The six-day course, which got underway on January 26, saw representatives of national sports clubs and associations, youth centres and University of Bahrain’s physical education and physiotherapy department in the fray.
At the end of the course, director of the academy Dr. Nabil Taha presented the certificates of participation to all the attendees. He commended their cooperation and keenness to participate in the course, which was within the framework of the Olympic solidarity programs.
Taha also stressed the keenness of the academy to develop various programs and management courses that contribute to qualify national competencies in the field of sports management, and provide them with different principles and basics of the Olympic Movement.
Taha said he hopes that the course had achieved the desired objectives for the rich information and knowledge the instructors have passed on to the attendees, such as topics and materials in the field of Olympic Movement, management of administrative organizations, leadership, planning of sports missions, sports ethics, media and Olympics, anti-doping, rescue, time management and technology in sport.
