A sports management course, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Sports Training and Development Centre, concluded recently at the centre premises in Juffair.
Twenty five sports officials – representing national sports clubs and associations from Bahrain – attended the course, which was in compliance with the Olympic Solidarity Committee programmes.
The course focused on a number of subjects, including the Olympic movement, the Olympic principles and values, as well as sports commandership.
Nabeel Taha, director of the centre, was one of the key speakers at the course. On his part, BOC Strategic Planning director Hasan Abdullatif talked about management and strategic planning.
Ahmed Ali (Sports Rules and Disputes Management), Nawaf Abdulrahman (Information Systems and Technology), Mohammed Lori (Media) and Mahmood Al Shaikh (Importance of Sports in Society and Olympic values) were the other speakers.
Participants received their certificates from BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, who urged them to apply what was presented at the course in their future tasks, and urged them to take part in more sports management courses to improve their expertise.
