?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Techical Committee and sports federations representatives had a coordinating meeting to pick up a number of talent and promising athletes to represent Bahrain at the 2018 and 2020 to be held in Jakarta and Tokyo, respectively. 
This joint meeting, which took place at the National Stadium’s Conference hall in Riffa, was attended by BOC technical director Lounes Madene, technical directorate specialist Mamoun Al Khatib and sports associations officials.
Madene stressed the need to benefit from the expertise of the 17th Asian Games held recently in Incheon, in South Korea, in order to improve on the athletes’ overall performance and results in the coming events.
Madene also urged the sports associations to select the best talent, both in the individual or team sports, and prepare them to become able to compete on an international level, and noted the Bahrain Olympic Committee willingness to help the associations prepare its players by all means.
On their part, representatives of the sports associations showed relief for this gesture, and affirmed their keenness to cooperate with the Bahrain Olympic Committee in the selection process and work to develop their skills in an attempt to raise the Bahrain flag high in the Jakarta and Tokyo Games.
