?In line with the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrations of the National Day and His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne, the national sports federations are organising a number of activities in December.
This will be followed by the National Day Endurance Championship at the Bahrain International Endurance Village in Sakhir on December 14. The National Day Showjumping Championship will then take place at the  Equestrian and Horseracing Club (Sports Military Federation) on December 20.
The Bahrain Motor Federation will organize four activities marking the occasion. It begins on December 14 with the National Karting Championship, to be followed by the Bahrain Motocross Championship on December 20, the Bahrain Drag Racing Championship from December 17 to 20,  and finally the Bahrain Circuit Racing Championship on December 20 and 21.
On its part, the Bahrain Swimming Association is organizing the National Day Championship on December 13 and 14 at its pool in Isa Town, while the Bahrain Badminton and Squash Federation is having the Squash Open at Khalifa Sports City from December 15 to 24.
The Bahrain Billiards and Snooker Federation is scheduled to run the Men’s and Women’s National Day Billiards and Snooker Championships on December 14.
Competitions continue as the week-long Bahrain International Chess Championship is underway at the Golden Tulip Hotel, while the Bahrain Tennis Federation is having its own event at the University of Bahrain later this month.
An open gymnastics championship has been scheduled for December 14, the 11th Kingdom of Bahrain Regatta will be held from December 15 to 21, and Ozone Centre is hosting the Fifth Bowling Championship  from December 3 to 11
Other activities marking this occasions were also organised earlier this month, as the highly-anticipated Mr Olympia took place in Bahrain from December 5 to 7 at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.
The Bahrain Fencing Association hosted the National Day International Fencing Championship on December 6 and 7, while the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation had the First Breef Showjumping Championship at the Equestrian and Horseracing Club on December 6.
