??The first part of a post-graduate sports management diploma came to a close at K Hotel in Juffair yesterday (Wednesday).
Representatives of national sports clubs and associations attended the conclusion of this three-day event, organized by the Bahrain Olympic Academy in cooperation with the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Solidarity Programme,
A number of subjects were brought up during the course’s different sessions, including the management of different sports and Olympic-related organisations, which was presented by sports strategic planning expert Abdulreda Al Mosawi.
In his presentation, Al Mosawi focused on the management of sports organisations and its relationship with each other, in addition to the influence of the environment on this particular establishment.
Other issues discussed were ways of using information technology to help in performing effective practices in order to make necessary management changes.
On the concluding day, several workshop and applications were conducted, as each of the participants performed his/her respective experience from the first part of the programme.
The second and last part of the sports management diploma is scheduled for April 7, when strategic management will be presented.
The programme also includes the following subjects: marketing, financial resources, human resources, events management, which focus on administrative work within sports organisations and aim to qualifying administrative competencies by linking theoretical and practical parts using the most experienced instructors in these areas of specialties.
