?The Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Award for Woman Athletes’ delegation yesterday (Sunday, October 12) arrived in Bahrain as part of its campaign to promote the event.
The campaign is hosted by the Bahrain Olympic Committee and is scheduled to take place over the next three days.
The visiting delegation is being headed by general coordinator of the award Khawla Al Muhairi, and includes media personnel Nada Al Shaibani and Maryam Al Rifai.
The trio will have a meeting with sports clubs and associations, universities as well as government and private schools. This meeting is scheduled to take place at the Regency Hotel in at 6.30pm.
The programme of the UAE delegation’s visit also includes several visits to relevant officials, in addition to several meeting with Bahraini athletes, coaches, administrators and media personnel. 
The Organizing Committee of the award is headed by chairwoman of the Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza Al Nahyan.
On the other hand, the BOC has formed a special committee tasked at setting up a special programme to promote the award. It’s being headed by Media and Public Relations Director Mohammed Lori.
Meanwhile, BOC board member and chairwoman of the Women’s Sports Committee Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa welcomed the visiting delegation and stressed the importance of this award for its role in motivating all pillars of women’s sports system.
The award was divided into individual and corporation parts, with each section featuring of different subjects. The organizing committee has allocated more than BD140,000 total prizes for this award.
One of the main objectives of the award is to motivate women to further develop her abilities and skills in the different fields of sports, in an attempt to accomplish various achievements.
It also seeks to boost the disabled women to join different types of sports, in addition to highlighting the Arab women’s achievements in the field of sports to compete on the national and international levels.
