Shaikh Salman visits Bahrain national handball team ahead of the Asian championship final

?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports general secretary and Bahrain Olympic Committee vice-president Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa yesterday (Feb. 5) attended the Bahrain national handball team concluding training session ahead of their final match against Qatar today in the 16th Asian Men’s Handball Championship.
During his visit to the team training at the Bahrain Handball Association Gym in Um Al Hassam, Shaikh Salman congratulated the team on reaching the semi-finals earlier in the tournament, thus ensuring themselves a place in the 2015 World Championship in Doha.
Shaikh Salman praised the overall level and performance of the team throughout the tournament, and expressed confidence in the team to win this continental championship for the first time in their history.
He conveyed the greetings of Supreme Council president and BOC president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the players and his best wishes for them in tonight’s final, which will take place at Khalifa Sports City Gym in Isa Town at 7pm.
On his part, Bahrain Handball Association president Ali Isa Ishaqi expressed thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Salman for this generous initiative and for his support to the team, noting that this gesture has boost the overall morale of the players ahead of their deciding match against Qatar today.
