Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president, has directed to facilitate the traveling of former Bahrain football star Juma Bashir abroad for medical treatment.
The gesture is in appreciation to the efforts and contributions of the ex-footballer as a player and a coach to the kingdom of Bahrain in different sports competitions, regionally and internationally. 
Bashir, who recently underwent medical check-ups in Thailand, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Shaikh Nasser for his continued support to athletes in Bahrain, and especially former football players who served the country in international events.
Mohammed Juma, son of Juma Bashir who travelled along with his father to follow up the treatment process, said the directives of Shaikh Nasser emphasizes his prominent role towards backing people of Bahrain in general, and to all athletes in specific.
Mohammed noted that Shaikh Nasser has initiated various charity projects, adding that this generous gesture is only one of many initiatives brought up in this regard.
