?Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), has affirmed that the reception of Bahrain Olympic Committee to a globally recognized quality certificate is a huge boost to maintain the current efforts targeting improving BOC’s role in the sport field in line with the Kingdom Bahrain’s wise leadership’s directives and the 2030 economic vision of the Kingdom.
This came during HH’s meeting with BOC General Secretary Mr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar who presented to HH the certificate which BOC received from Bureau Veritas which is a global company in testing, inspection and certification services. HH Shaikh Nasser stressed BOC’s keenness in the past period to meet the quality requirements through conducting a comprehensive development to all its operations and improve the human resources working in the quality control field. HH pointed that the measures that have been taken by BOC resulted in the enhancement of the employees’ performance in BOC as well as accelerating formal procedures and transactions as well as the establishment of links among different departments, and this has positively reflected on the services provided by BOC.
“The reception of this highly-reputed certificate is an outcome of the new strategy implemented by BOC, which focused on providing a distinct and unique administrative system that is able to actively participate in the development of administrative work within the committee in addition to providing quality services to all sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” HH Shaikh Nasser explained, stressing that this certificate is a testimony came to confirm the integrity of the administrative and developmental procedures followed by BOC during the last period. HH also hailed the workforce of BOC who contributed to secure this certificate for the committee.
On the other hand, Mr. Askar revealed during the meeting that BOC has made several steps to meet the certificate’s requirements, stating that the main drive force behind this achievement was the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa who has been keen in developing the performance of BOC which is in the interest of the employees serving in the BOC and its clients. “BOC has worked on preparing for the procedures required to secure this certificate for training and determining the functional competencies in line with the global quality system.
The decision to apply for this certificate was down to the fact that it’s one of the most widespread systems in the world and to its precise standards in the quality field as we are targeting to improve the administrative work to achieve excellence, efficiency and quality of services provided to the clients.”
