?Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee President attended on Saturday the finals of the 2017 IMMA Championship.
It was also attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Supreme Council first vice-chairman, Bahrain Athletics Association and Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts honorary president, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation president Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham Al Jowder and International Mixed Martial Arts Association president Kerith Brown.
The fourth edition of this week-long event was organized for the first time in Bahrain by the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation in cooperation with Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s Media Office from November 12 to 19, with fighters 51 countries from all around the world taking part.
Shaikh Nasser witnessed part of the solid bouts involving some of the world’s best fighters, and later honored Bahrain’s female fighter Fatima Al Burshaid, who took the bronze medal in her weight category. Shaikh Nasser also admired the level of competition and fighter taking part on the concluding day of the championship.
