?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports second deputy chairman and first vice-president of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa today (Jan. 31) heads for Sharjah to attend the opening ceremony of the Second Arab Women’s Sports Tournament.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Sharjah for the second successive time from February 2 to 12 with the participation from 14 clubs from all over the Arab region.
Shaikh Isa expressed appreciation for the tournament organisnig committee for inviting him to attend the event, and lauded the support of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qassmi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and wife of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, to the tournament.
Shaikh Isa extended the keenness Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, presided by His Royal Highness Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd, to provide all that would contribute to make this event a great success, and in line with the strategy of the committees aimed at the success of all Arab sports gatherings.
He expressed full confidence in the ability of  the United Arab Emirates to ensure proper organization of this edition tournament and following the tremendous success of the previous event, which also took place in Sharjah two years ago.
