A number of meetings have already been staged as the committee had finalized arrangements and plans for the awards ceremony.
Askar said he was pleased with the overall work achieved so far and urged the committee to complete all procedures ahead of the ceremony to ensure a very memorial third edition of the event.
He noted that the Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work is one of the top priorities of the BOC for its noble objectives and in appreciation to the first generation of volunteers in the field of sports.
The first edition of the award, which took place in 2012, was a tribute to long-serving staff and sport reporters. Administrators who have worked for twenty-five years at least at different sport federations were honored.
In 2014, the awards ceremony took place for the second time to honor the first generation of the sports federations’ boards of directors.
