?Thirty sports officials today (OCT. 23) will be attending a seminar on ‘Exercise Physiology’, organised by the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s Sports Training and Development Section.The seminar is scheduled to begin at 6pm and will take place at the Sports Training and Development Section premises inside Manama Club in Juffair.It will be conducted by Ph.D. Jonathan Tremblay from University of Montreal in Canada, one of the leading specialists in the field of energy systems and physical preparation and also has numerous researches in this area, in addition to overseeing several doctoral and master dissertations.The seminar aims to inform the participants on modern scientific researches in exercise physiology and its relationship with sports training.It’s also part of the Sports Training and Development Section to develop the abilities of national coaches in order to achieve best results and reach higher standards.Exercise physiology is the study of the acute responses and chronic adaptations to a wide range of physical exercise conditions.In addition, many exercise physiologists study the effect of exercise on pathology, and the mechanisms by which exercise can reduce or reverse disease progression.Accreditation programs exist with professional bodies in most developed countries, ensuring the quality and consistency of education.
