?Dr Abdulrahman Sayyar was recently declared member of the International Federation of Sport Sciences (IFSS), based in London.
The University of Bahrain physical education teacher and general secretary of Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports was voted for this post due to his vast experience in the field of sport sciences.
Dr Sayyar became the first Bahraini to win this post at IFSS, which was founded with support of leading universities in Europe, the United Nations and UNESCO, in an attempt to develop physical education and sports in general all around the world through a string of scientific projects and conferences.
The idea of establishing the International Federation of Sports Sciences began a year ago between Arab academies and British academies in order to mix educational and training curriculum in the Arab countries and to seek opportunities to prove the existence of the global academies.
From this moment, contacts, movements, meetings and research with academies from different international universities, American, British, German, Japanese, Swedish, Arab universities and different countries and continents), The International Federation of Sports Science was established and approved by the United Nations to become the Federation’s headquarters in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.
