?Winning researchers of Nasser bin Hamad Scientific Research Award in the field of sports Ahmed Mubarak Salem and Dr. Mervat Ibrahim Dessouki expressed pride for sharing top award, stressing that the achievement represents a great incentive for them to exert more efforts in this area and help raise the profile of sport and youth movement in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Dr. Dessouki said she was delighted on winning the award, noting that the victory was a result of her hard work in order to prepare her scientific research titled (a proposed strategy to invest in sports clubs in the Kingdom of Bahrain) .
She added that Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa launching this award clearly expresses the profound realization of positive gains for scientific research to develop the march of youth and sports action.
Al Dessouki  stated that her selection of the ‘investment’ topic is in line with the growing interest in sports as one of the important tributaries to support economy. Therefore, her research deals with many topics such as the areas of investment, regulations and legislation, and urged to prepare special legislation for investment due to its positive influence in supporting this vital sector.
On his part, Salem was overwhelmed with this win, which is a culmination of his efforts in preparing for his research. He noted the significant efforts made by Shaikh Nasser in order to support and develop sports in Bahrain, pointing out that this award is the beginning of a new era towards a bright future for Bahraini sports.
Salem added that the award is considered as an incentive for everyone searching for creativity, as well as establish a solid scientific basis for the sport system, based on stability and field research and survey which achieves fruitful results.
He said his scientific research titled (Youth and Sports Trust Management in the Kingdom of Bahrain), has set up an applicable integrated vision to solve financing problems of all sports bodies. He said he hopes that this research would solve this problem for a more developed and prosperous future, wishing this award more success in the coming years.
