?The National Sports Medicine Centre, which is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, has received large number of applications from patients wishing to sign up for the appointments with Dr Jussi Rantanen.
The Finnish orthopedic surgeon will be visiting Bahrain later this month from January 22 to 23 to undergo a number of orthopedic surgeries and inspections for athletic and non-athletics patients.
According to National Sports Medicine Centre director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh, the centre has completed all arrangements for this visit, which will be the fourth for Dr Rantanen and the first this year. He was at the centre in June, August and October 2016, during which he obtained respected reputation among patients.
He said that appointments will be limited on first-come-first-serve basis, and noted that the Centre has completed all arrangements for this visit by allowing patients to book for appointments with the doctor at the centre premises at Khalifa Sports City.
These visits are part of the National Sports Medicine Centre plan to offer the best quality medical treatment services for both athletes and ordinary people.
Rantanen has been an orthopedic surgeon since 1998 and is a founder of a hospital in Finland six years ago and is still chairman of the board.
