?Dr Jussi Rantanen arrived in Bahrain for another round of consultations at the National Sports Medicine Centre, which is under the umbrella of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).?
The Finnish surgeon’s three-day trip begins today (Tuesday) for his fifth visit to Bahrain, which is part of the centre’s annual plan to provide best quality medical treatment services for both Bahraini and expats athletes and non-athletic patients.
Dr Al Shaikh said the centre hopes to take advantage of this visit to continue offer his consultancy to contribute to the recovery of national and international athletes. Dr Rantanen has already performed two surgeries, including one for national football defender Abdulla Al Hazza.
His first trip to Bahrain was last year in June, followed by similar visits in August, October and April. During these visits, he underwent a number of orthopedic surgeries and inspections for his patients.
It’s worth noting that the number of patients booking for appointments with Dr Rantanen – to benefit from his expertise – has reached beyond expectations. Rantanen has been an orthopedic surgeon since 1998 and is a founder of a hospital in Finland six years ago and is still chairman of the board.
