?Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant secretary general and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) secretary general Abdulrahman Askar stressed the keenness of the committee to benefit from all the programs of Olympic solidarity, especially the programs directed to national coaches in various sports in an attempt to develop the outputs of sports in the country.
This came during his meeting with national basketball coach Hussein Qahiri, who was nominated for the Olympic programme this year at the BOC premises in Seef, in presence of training and development head Mahmoud Yatim, Bahrain Basketball Association general secretary Abdulelah Abdulghaffar and Olympic Solidarity director Maryam Mardana.

During the programme, the participants will be attending practical sessions by attending some of the American Basketball Universities League.
Askar stressed that the BOC is keen to develop the standards of its national competencies, either by attending courses or programmes organized by the Olympic Academy, or by dispatching them to overseas activities, most specifically the Olympic solidarity programs that are dedicated for coaches.
On his part, Qahiri thanked the BOC, headed by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his support to national coaches in different sports, and selecting him to represent Bahrain in this major coaching programme.
