?The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has announced that candidates for its presidential election are now eligible to submit their bid for the next electoral cycle, the committee announced yesterday.
Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who has been president of the committee for 10 years, decided to devote his effort as chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
Following the announcement, the BOC issued a circular for all 28 sports federations under its umbrella, requesting those with Olympic sports to vote one of their representatives for the one vacant seat in the board of directors.
It was also confirmed that the BOC ordinary general assembly has been scheduled for Thursday, April 11.
