A presentation on effective sport leadership skills is all set to take place today (Wednesday) with representatives of sports clubs and federations expected to take part.
This day-long event is organized by the Bahrain Olympic Academy, which is under the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and will be presented by Dr Don Clark of Canada.
Dr Clark is the Director of the National Coaching Institute in Saskatchewan, a prairie province in Canada. Dr Clark has a 30-year career as a Professor, Coach, Researcher, and Administrator, and is a member of the Coaching Association of Canada.
The presentation, which tips off at 6.30pm at the National Stadium’s Conference Hall in Riffa, will cover specialties in the field of sport, including team managers, club managers, technical directors and sports federations general secretary.
Among themes to be brought up at this presentation are the skills needed by the administrators as well as ways to prepare for employment, training and education, and work experience.
